We get into the national psyche and make fun of things you never noticed, or never questioned. We’ve been living and working here, observing, interpreting and gathering funny material for twenty years.

Things like Holland being the only rich country with a cuisine so lackluster that there are no Dutch restaurants in foreign cities. Questions like when it comes to swearing, why do the Dutch want you to get a disease that slowly kills you years from now? Get cancer!  Finally, why is the most romantic day of a couple’s life, their wedding, so focused on signing and witnessing a legal document? We believe you! 

 With standup comedy, improvisation, video and a walk-through experience Boom Chicago brings you the Netherlands in a most exciting way.  Whether you are new in town, work here, or lived here all your life, you will find much to laugh about in The 7 Deadly Dutch Sins.

The hysterical 20^th anniversary show is the first in our newly renovated Rozentheater which is the home of our new Bar 117. Naturally, you can bring drinks from the bar into the theater.

After the magical night in People’s Place with a great live band and improvisation, everybody wanted more.  The sold out crowd at Tommy Hilfiger’s European Headquarters venue was amazed at the improvising and singing of Lolu Ajayi, Rob AndristPlourde, Cari Leslie, and Sam Super.

Daniel and Lorijn von Piekartz, Nathan Klumperbeek on bass and Julian du Perron on drums were on fire as well and could …  improvise!  

Everyone got our their calendars  to plan the next one, but it’s been hard to make time.  We hope to return in the fall after the the new show opens at the Rozengracht.

This season again six British theater productions will be shown live from England. In the first season, over 165,000 people watched the theater performances on 320 screens in 22 countries.

The deadpan and generally unkempt Judah Friedlander brings his ‘World Champion’ stand up show to Amsterdam on Friday May 24 at 22:30 in our theater!

Although Judah Friedlander a real stand-up comedian, the public knows him primarily for his roles as an actor. In the popular comedy series 30 Rock, which is broadcast daily by Comedy Central in the Netherlands, he plays Frank Rossitano: an oversexed unconvincing who still lives with his mother. He also acted in series such as Spin City, Curb Your Enthousiasm and Flight Of The Conchords. He was also seen in movies like Meet The Parents, Full Grown Men, Zoolander, The Wrestler and Along Came Polly.

Friedlander has performed stand-up comedy regularly throughout his entertainment career. He continued to perform stand-up several nights a week in New York City while working on the sitcom 30 Rock. Friedlander has stated that he is most relaxed when doing stand-up and that he considers stand-up to be his first true love, preferring it to acting. He stated in 2012 that stand-up comedy is “still the most important thing I do from an artistic standpoint.”
