Shane Oman

W. Shane Oman comes from a theatrical family and has been working in show business since he was old enough to hold a hammer. He grew up in Michigan and moved to Chicago to attend Columbia College.

After graduating with a degree in stage management, he began working for the Second City National Touring Company. Over the years he has worked as a director, designer, stage manager, and general technician with dozens of theaters in Chicago and around the USA, as well as a two year stint with Boom Chicago back in the mid-90s.

Most recently he was the resident stage manager for the Second City's e.t.c. stage and also teaching stage management back at Columbia.



He is sublimely gruntled to be back at Boom after a ten year absence, and will gladly explain those words to you over a drink at the bar after a show.
