Boom Chicago as a perfect cultural and educational destination for the CultureCard
Boom Chicago accepts the CultureCard both for our theater in Amsterdam as well as for a performance at your school. For this performance we will put together a programme you will never forget! We would like to invite you to join us for a show at our theater so you can see for yourself how it could fit within your programme in the best possible fashion.
Boom Chicago’s shows are a true spectacle of fast improv comedy combined with razor sharp sketches succeeding each other at a lightning rate. Our Amsterdam-American actors have their own unique take on themes and issues in our current society and convey these during the shows. Boom Chicago is renowned for their improvisational skills making each and every show unique.
Comedy enjoys great popularity amongst youths and it’s therefore an ideal way to introduce these youths to theater and culture. All of our shows are in English but not very difficult to understand. Students from the age of 14 will be able to follow the show as part of the tuition programme of both CKV and English.
Come to our theater in Amsterdam
A lot of people come to see one of our daily shows at our own theater in Amsterdam’s city centre. We have a show every evening from 20:15 till 22:15.
We come to your school
The show could also be held at your school during the day or evening. We would be happy to bring all the technical facilities needed for the show to your school.
We offer a variety of educational possibilities
• The scripts for the written sketches of the shows can precedingly be read and discussed in class;
• A meet&greet with the actors after the show where there will be the opportunity to ask questions of which students could write a report;
• A workshop improvisation theater given by a Boom Chicago actor where students will learn how to improvise themselves. During this workshop they will develop competencies that will benefit their personal development. Competencies such as thinking outside of the box, listening and contributing to each others ideas.
Details:
• Tickets for a show in our theater will cost €15 p.p. (normally €20-€24 p.p)
• A show at your school can be arranged in exchange for 175 CultureCards, €2625,-.
• A workshop improvisation theater can be arranged in exchange for 40 CultureCards, €600,-.
